As our new Management Accountant, you will work on accounting matters for our Nordic offices in Finland, Denmark and Sweden, based in Stockholm. You will also have a degree of interaction with the finance staff in other Bird & Bird offices.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Supervisory responsibility for an Assistant Accountant
• Monthly preparation of the profit & loss account and balance sheet and reconciliation.
• Assist with the annual cost and fee income budgets and re-forecasting.
• Assist with cash-flow forecast.
• Assist with preparation of partnership and company tax returns.
• Reporting and payment of VAT and Tax.
• Ensure compliance with Danish and Swedish GAAP as appropriate together with local regulatory requirements.
You will be expected to have a recognised Account-ing Qualification and to have proven experience working in a management information environment. If you have previous experience from a law firm, that is very beneficial.
You are a natural talent to keep track of administrative processes and to manage day to day operational activities with the ability to plan, prioritise and respond to changing deadlines.
As a person, you are enthusiastic with a proactive and great can-do and service-minded attitude. You are thorough, pay attention to details in your work, and are confident in your Excel skills.
